Visiting New Galloway? You’re in for a treat
Set on the edge of Galloway Forest Park, New Galloway is the perfect location for exploring south-west Scotland. From family holidays to romantic breaks; adventure, history, culture or tranquility – we’ve got it covered.
New Galloway is the smallest Royal Burgh in Scotland and, with a community shop, post office, cafes, hotels, churches, castle, golf course, park and arts centre, there’s plenty to do right here!
When you visit the rest of Dumfries and Galloway, it’s a picturesque journey whichever route you take – to Castle Douglas, Kirkcudbright, Newton Stewart, Ayr, Dumfries and beyond. With the region’s market towns, fishing ports, castles, beaches, art galleries, activities and more on its doorstep, New Galloway is the ideal holiday base.
It is also on the Red Kite Trail, so keep your eyes peeled for these beautiful birds of prey. You’re very likely to see one or two during your holiday here.
